The Spider-Pig Diet II

Posted by LuchAAA on Fri Mar 6 23:32:33 2015

This thread is dedicated to diet and nutrition. The original post got too long and politicized by certain people who politicize everything.

I will be posting here soon again.

Seaweed.

I went to Rollin' Oats tonight to get a few things.

Overheard a conversation between two Vegans.

The guy said to the woman, "If you don't eat seaweed every day, you're probably deficient".

On line, the woman got into a conversation with me about my Glaser Farms Asian Pacific Dressing purchase and took pictures of it with her smart phone.

So I'm looking into this seaweed thing for the new Spider-Pig Diet thread.

I made this once and it came out ok.

But I'm going to try some Paleoleap recipes for the gluten-free diet I'm adopting. Soy sauce has gluten.

You can get gluten-free tamari aka soy sauce. They used to call it wheat free.

What is interesting is that soft drink consumption decreased.

And if you prohibit McDonald's and Burger King but let Applebee's and TGIF open stores you're really kind of missing the point. I didn't read the study but I noticed it's by RAND. That's kind of funny in itself

the interesting part is that soft drink consumption dropped.

soft drinks are considered the culprit in the obesity epidemic.

I also think convenience stores like Circle K, Wawa, and 7-11 do more damage than McDonald's.

Man, I have not eaten out much at all in months. Just doing 3 whole eggs, guacamole, dark chocolate, 1 lb. potatoes, 1 protein source like chicken or fish, 1 piece fruit, 1 salad, 1 serving of nuts. Sometimes I wonder if I had a wife and kids if I'd be able to do this "foodie" thing if I had to live in reality. May never know.

The point is that dining out is fattening, whether it's Burger King, Applebee's or Peter Luger's. Just focusing on one sector of the restaurant business ignores that.

However, that said, eating a Big Mac meal is not the same and exponentially worse than getting an entree at Applebees, or Peter Lugers.

The bread is the worst part of the Big Mac. The meat is just processed meat like you'd get at Applebee's, Wendy's or some other places.

Today I will eat:

3 whole eggs scrambled using grass fed Kerry Gold butter to grease the pan.

1 coconut rolled date.

2 pieces of 85% chocolate.

1/4 pound nuts/seeds combo

1 1/4 pound of mashed potatoes

1/2 a chicken

Guacamole sauce with both the chicken and eggs for flavor

10 ounces of broccoli with Glaser Farms Asian Pacific dressing

1 piece of swiss cheese

(The dressing is the only gluten/grain in my diet).

This puts me in the 2000 calorie range. I weight about 200 but am trying to eat like a 185 pound man. This is to lose fat. Thanks for reading this post.

Looks like we're going have another food fight.

I can't see the the quality of meat at Carrabbas and Applebees or any other casual/fast restaurant being that much different than McDonald's.

McDonald's has a bad rep. I can't imagine their food having any more of a negative impact on your health than Five Guys or Carrabbas.

There's no way you are going to compare a crappy whopper meal, big mac meal, or Wendy's burger to an entree at carabbas or Applebee's. The latter may not be fine dining, but they aren't fast food either, they are a different category restaurant.

So I'm at Sarasota Beach today watching the end of a wedding.

I commented to a woman near me, "Nice wedding".

She complained about some fat guy on a beach chair nearby and how sad it is that he'll appear in the background of some of the photos.

So, I'm thinking, "Wow. If I ranted about a fat woman on the beach, what would she think of me"? Misogynist. Elitist.

Just another double standard in every day society. Just another reason to realize women are evil.
