I'm just going to assume that it's bullshit and renouncing one's citizenship will not cause one to become eligible for in-state citizenship, the in-state tuition rule being completely independent of citizenship.I'm fairly certain it's similar to people in comments sections complaining about the NYC ID's cultural benefits (free museum memberships) by claiming that the city is providing illegal aliens benefits to which citizens are not entitled. |
