Was there a picture or something you were going to put in?

(Will you stand corrected :-)

You finally figured out that it's easier to urinate standing up?

Did you operate CTA trains in a seated or standing position?

If the former, perhaps that contributed to the view of it being overrated? I've seen NJT hoggers standing up while running Arrow IIIs; that seat looks uncomfortable.

Not a good idea to drive a bus while standing.

No, it's just something I often ponder when riding public transportation. The fact that people would rather sit down and be squished uncomfortably between strangers, where many times standing up would be more comfortable.

"it's just something I often ponder"

"Pinky - are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
"I think so Brain but Pete Rose by any other name would still smell as sweaty"

One occupation where that is true is radio disc jockey. While most were pictured sitting at the control board back in the day, many preferred to STAND at the board, especially when doing a high energy top 40 presentation. Of course, nowadays disc jockeys are a dying breed, with all of the automation, voice tracking, and syndication taking over the airwaves in recent years...

If the L train is too crowded, then yes, I'd rather stand.
