This belongs in The Spider-Pig Diet II thread.Anyway, "nothing" but whole grains, fruits and veggies? I wonder if they mean in addition to meat? For example, chicken, brown rice, and mixed veggies? If kids really could not get nothing but grains and veggies, the Vegan community would be claiming victory. And since they're not saying much about this, I wonder if there is more to this story? I could go on a long rant about whole grains and fruits but will wait to do so. |

I know what the local cows eat, and it's good. One of the advantages of living out in farm land is that the farmers here eat what they sell, know what's good and what isn't, and won't let us buy anything they won't let their own kids eat. Life is good, and Monsanto and the others don't sell much out here. :) |

Vegans are the Occupy Wall Street of the foodie world. Tonight I went to Whole Foods and they will be having a "Healthy Eating" seminar featuring vegan recipes.I find it amusing how vegans own the word "healthy" in conjunction with food and eating. On my end, I have been on a paleo-inspired diet for over six weeks. I'll stick to it for another six weeks and see where it takes me. Results have been positive so far. |
