Ted Nugent is a convicted criminal.

It figures that you'd side with a White Supremacist who wants you dead.

Here is how Nugent got out of the "Nam Era Draft (in his own words)
He literally shit on himself:

Here’s an excerpt from an interview with Ted Nugent that was in the Oct. ’77 issue of High Times (Johnny Rotten cover)
There is a similar interview in the Sept. ’77 Creem magazine
(interview with Susan Whitall)

High Times:
How did you get out of the draft?

Nugent:
“Ted was a young boy, appearing to be a hippie but quite opposite in fact, working hard and playing hard, playing rock and roll like a deviant. People would question my sanity, I played so much. So I got my notice to be in the draft. Do you think I was gonna lay down my guitar and go play army? Give me a break! I was busy doin’ it to it. I had a career Jack. If I was walkin’ around, hippying down, getting’ loaded and pickin’ my ass like your common curs, I’d say “Hey yeah, go in the army. Beats the poop out of scuffin’ around in the gutters.” But I wasn’t a gutter dog. I was a hard workin’, mother****in’ rock and roll musician.
I got my physical notice 30 days prior to. Well, on that day I ceased cleansing my body. No more brushing my teeth, no more washing my hair, no baths, no soap, no water. Thirty days of debris build. I stopped shavin’ and I was 18, had a little scraggly beard, really looked like a hippie. I had long hair, and it started gettin’ kinky, matted up. Then two weeks before, I stopped eating any food with nutritional value. I just had chips, Pepsi, beer-stuff I never touched-buttered poop, little jars of Polish sausages, and I’d drink the syrup, I was this side of death, Then a week before, I stopped going to the bathroom. I did it in my pants. poop, piss the whole shot. My pants got crusted up.
See, I approached the whole thing like, Ted Nugent, cool hard-workin’ dude, is gonna wreak havoc on these imbeciles in the armed forces. I’m gonna play their own game, and I’m gonna destroy ‘em. Now my whole body is crusted in poop and piss. I was ill. And three or four days before, I started stayin’ awake. I was close to death, but I was in control. I was extremely antidrug as I’ve always been, but I snorted some crystal methedrine. Talk about one wounded mother *****. A guy put up four lines, and it was for all four of us, but I didn’t know and I’m vacuuming that poop right up. I was a walking, talking hunk of human poop. I was six-foot-three of sin. So the guys took me down to the physical, and my nerves, my emotions were distraught. I was not a good person. I was wounded. But as painful and nauseous as it was — ’cause I was really into bein’ clean and on the ball — I made gutter swine hippies look like football players. I was deviano.
So I went in, and those guys in uniform couldn’t believe the smell. They were ridiculin’ me and pushin’ me around and I was cryin’, but all the time I was laughin’ to myself. When they stuck the needle in my arm for the blood test I passed out, and when I came to they were kicking me into the wall. Then they made everybody take off their pants, and I did, and this sergeant says, “Oh my God, put those back on! You *****’ swine you!” Then they had a urine test and I couldn’t piss, But my poop was just like ooze, man, so I poop in the cup and put it on the counter. I had poop on my hand and my arm. The guy almost puked. I was so proud. I knew I had these chumps beat. The last thing I remember was wakin’ up in the ear test booth and they were sweepin’ up. So I went home and cleaned up.
They took a putty knife to me. I got the street rats out of my hair, ate some good steaks, beans, potatoes, cottage cheese, milk. A couple of days and I was ready to kick ass. And in the mail I got this big juicy 4-F. They’d call dead people before they’d call my ass. But you know the funny thing about it? I’d make an incredible army man. I’d be a colonel before you knew what hit you, and I’d have the baddest bunch of mother****in’ killers you’d ever seen in my platoon. But I just wasn’t into it. I was too busy doin’ my own thing, you know?”

We'll have to ask him to see what he meant by that. FYI, The North was just as bad as the South when it came to racism. They just didn't agree with a chattel slavery system as it wasn't economically profitable for the North as it was for the South. In fact, the North didn't want to make blacks human at all, and the South was able to get the 3/5 human designation in The Constitution so blacks could be represented on the census so the southern states could have their fare share of representation in the government. I agree with you about it being traitorous, as it was.

Really?

Their racism was so similar that first it made Northerners abolish slavery in their own States and then sacrifice millions of their own lives to free slaves in other places.

Yeah that's how similar Northern racism was to the South.

You have a strange way of expressing that point since you say:

1. Northern racism was the same as the South's
2. The North started the war just to fuck the South's economy.

If your observations were true, a neutral observer would say that the South is right and that it was the War of Northern Aggression that they say it is and that in the face of such injustice, the South were the good guys.

Noooo...... It wasn't JUST to fuck the South's economy, BUT that was the main reason. At least according to history books, as I wasn't around when it happened. By the time the war happened, the N and S were basically 2 different countries anyway. The N was industrial while the S was dependent on crops. They didn't see eye to eye about anything. The war was started because the S illegally seceeded from the U.S.

The history books that say that were written or influenced by Southern revisionists.

"Our new Government is founded upon exactly the opposite ideas; its foundations are laid, its cornerstone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery, subordination to the superior race, is his natural and normal condition."

fiogf49gjkf0d
I am very well versed on that history.

Your so-called "points" OTOH are straight out of Neo-Confederate Revisionism and Revanchism.

Here, in THEIR OWN words, are a list of grievances that made the treasonous Southern States declare war on my United States of America:

South Carolina

"Increasing hostility on the part of the non-slaveholding states to the institution of slavery has led to a disregard of their obligations.
They have denounced as sinful the institution of slavery.
They have encouraged and assisted thousands of our slaves to leave their homes [through the Underground Railroad]; and those who remain have been incited by emissaries, books, and pictures to servile insurrection.
A geographical line has been drawn across the Union, and all the states north of that line have united in the election of a man to the high office of President of the United States whose opinions and purposes are hostile to slavery. He is to be entrusted with the administration of the common government because he has declared that "Government cannot endure permanently half slave, half free," and that the public mind must rest in the belief that slavery is in the course of ultimate extinction. . . . The slaveholding states will no longer have the power of self-government, or self-protection, and the federal government will have become their enemy . . ."

Mississippi

"Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery - the greatest material interest of the world.
A blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization. That blow has been long aimed at the institution and was at the point of reaching its consummation. There was no choice left us but submission to the mandates of abolition, or a dissolution of the Union, whose principles had been subverted to work out our ruin. That we do not overstate the dangers to our institution, a reference to a few facts will sufficiently prove. The hostility to this institution commenced before the adoption of the Constitution and was manifested in the well-known Ordinance of 1787.
It has grown until it denies the right of property in slaves and refuses protection to that right on the high seas, in the territories, and wherever the government of the United States had jurisdiction. It refuses the admission of new slave states into the Union and seeks to extinguish it by confining it within its present limits, denying the power of expansion.
It advocates Negro equality, socially and politically.
It has made combinations and formed associations to carry out its schemes of emancipation in the states and wherever else slavery exists.
We must either submit to degradation and to the loss of property worth four billions of money, or we must secede from the Union framed by our fathers to secure this as well as every other species of property."

Florida

"All hope of preserving the Union upon terms consistent with the safety and honor of the Slaveholding States has been finally dissipated by the recent indications of the strength of the anti-slavery sentiment in the Free States."

Alabama

"the election of Abraham Lincoln and Hannibal Hamlin to the offices of president and vice-president of the United States of America by a sectional party, avowedly hostile to the domestic institution and to the peace and security of the people of the State of Alabama
It is the desire and purpose of the people of Alabama to meet the slaveholding states of the South, who may approve such purpose, in order to frame a provisional as well as permanent government."

Georgia

"For the last ten years we have had numerous and serious causes of complaint against our non-slaveholding confederate states with reference to the subject of African slavery. They have . . . persistently refused to comply with their express constitutional obligations to us in reference to that property.
A brief history of the rise, progress, and policy of antislavery and the political organization into whose hands the administration of the federal government has been committed will fully justify the pronounced verdict of the people of Georgia. The party of Lincoln, called the Republican Party under its present name and organization, is of recent origin. It is admitted to be an antislavery party. antislavery is its mission and its purpose.
That reason was her fixed purpose to limit, restrain, and finally abolish slavery in the states where it exists.
The South, with great unanimity, declared her purpose to resist the principle of prohibition to the last extremity.
The prohibition of slavery in the territories, hostility to it everywhere, the equality of the black and white races, disregard of all constitutional guarantees in its favor, were boldly proclaimed by its leaders and applauded by its followers.
The prohibition of slavery in the territories is the cardinal principle of this organization.
For twenty years past, the abolitionists and their allies in the northern states have been engaged in constant efforts to subvert our institutions and to excite insurrection and servile war among us."

Louisiana

"Louisiana looks to the formation of a Southern Confederacy to preserve the blessings of African slavery.
As her neighbor and sister state, she desires the hearty co-operation of Texas in the formation of a Southern Confederacy. Louisiana and Texas have the same language, laws, and institutions and they are both so deeply interested in African slavery that it may be said to be absolutely necessary to their existence and is the keystone to the arch of their prosperity.
The people of Louisiana would consider it a most fatal blow to African slavery if Texas either did not secede or, having seceded, should not join her destinies to theirs in a Southern Confederacy. As a separate republic, Louisiana remembers too well the whisperings of European diplomacy for the abolition of slavery in the times of annexation not to be apprehensive of bolder demonstrations from the same quarter and the North in this country.
The people of the slaveholding states are bound together by the same necessity and determination to preserve African slavery. The isolation of any one of them from the others would make her a theater for abolition emissaries from the North and from Europe. Her existence would be one of constant peril to herself and of imminent danger to other neighboring slave-holding communities and taking it as the basis of our new government we hope to form a slave-holding confederacy."

Texas

"[Texas] was received as a commonwealth, holding, maintaining, and protecting the institution known as Negro slavery - the servitude of the African to the white race within [Texas] - a relation that had existed from the first settlement of her wilderness by the white race and which her people intended should exist in all future time. Her institutions and geographical position established the strongest ties between her and other slaveholding states of the Confederacy. The controlling majority of the federal government has so administered the same for the avowed purpose of acquiring sufficient power in the common government to use it as a means of destroying the institutions of Texas and her sister slaveholding states.
In all the non-slave-holding states the people have formed themselves into a great sectional party based upon an unnatural feeling of hostility to these southern states and their beneficent and patriarchal system of African slavery, proclaiming the debasing doctrine of equality of all men irrespective of race or color - a doctrine at war with nature, in opposition to the experience of mankind, and in violation of the plainest revelations of divine law. They demand the abolition of Negro slavery throughout the Confederacy, the recognition of political equality between the white and Negro races, and avow their determination to press on their crusade against us so long as a Negro slave remains in these states. By the secession of six of the slave-holding states, and the certainty that others will speedily do likewise, Texas has no alternative but to remain in an isolated connection with the North or unite her destinies with the South."

Virginia

"The federal government, having perverted said powers not only to the injury of the people of Virginia but to the oppression of the southern slave-holding states."

Confederate Constitution

Article I - Section 6:

No bill of attainder, ex post facto law, or law denying or impairing the right of property in Negro slaves shall be passed.

Article IV - Section 2:

The citizens of each state . . . shall have the right of transit and sojourn in any state of this Confederacy, with their slaves and other property; and the right of property in said slaves shall not be thereby impaired.

No slave or other person held to service or labor in any state or territory of the Confederate States under the laws thereof, escaping or lawfully carried into another, shall . . . be discharged from such service or labor but shall be delivered up on claim of the party to whom such slave belongs."

Plus what Spider-Pig said.

It does make one wonder. Suppose Lincoln had hired on more incompetent commanding general instead of Grant, and the war had still been going poorly in November 1864, resulting in a Democratic victory in the North and a peace treaty.

How on earth would the institution of slavery ever have ended in the South? One possibility I suppose is that the South would have become like Brooklyn or Newfoundland and eventually petitioned to rejoin the North out of poverty, and been required to end slavery to do so. I suppose another is that eventually England and the North might have put strong trade restrictions on the South until it ended slavery.

Then the American people would have spoken and the South would have earned its independence.

That's how Texas got in.

I suppose another is that eventually England and the North might have put strong trade restrictions on the South until it ended slavery.

Britain was on the verge of allying itself with the South.
Because of the US Navy blockade on the South, their textiles mills were hurting without Southern cotton.
Also, the North's burgeoning industrial prowess and steep tariffs on British imports has us on their shit list.

They only abandoned their temptation to help the South when it became clear that it was a lost cause that would have irreversibly damaged the UK's relations with the US.

It is said that Lee attempted his Northern invasion (stopped at his rout in Gettysburg) in order to convince the Brits that Southern independence was still viable and worth taking a risk on.

Kinda like the Tet Offensive.

It didn't pan out for him.

Agreed. But I'm talking about an alternate universe where the South was independent for many years. By 1890 Britain might have decided that cheap southern cotton wasn't worth the price of supporting slavery.

And I'm just speculating. Something would have ended slavery eventually. I just wonder what.

There have been some interesting alternative history books written about the South winning the Civil War or the war ending in a stalemate.

Let's remember, Britain was throughly against slavery and the slave trade by the 1890s. It suppressed the slave trade in Africa.

I have thought that would have made an interesting episode of "Sliders" (except they were always in California, which wasn't a slave state...) Still might have been interesting, especially how it might have affected Rembrandt Brown.

Then again, countries have a way of overlooking things when it's in their self-interest.
