Take out their frustration on Boehner.I had Shabbat dinner this week with several congressional staffers, they all said the Democrats who are not attending the speech or considering not attending are doing so because they don't like how Bibi, Dermer, and Boehner went around the backs of Obama and the rest of the executive branch in scheduling this. Lots of Israelis see this move for what it is. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I hope Herzog gets to form the next government and the "anyone but Bibi" contingent is very large. |

Judaism has a long tradition of not going in lockstep with what we are told to do but rather challenge what we think is wrong or unjust in the world. Same goes for being American.If you truly cared about Israel, you'd listen to what the media is reporting right now about the issues Bibi is causing for politicians and Jews across the political spectrum. NONE OF THIS is good for Israel or Jewish America.
