NY Times

So I ask, "If the Democrats are so pro education, and the real AMericans are knuckledraggers, why would Obama want to do away with 529's to begin with"?

I know. Along racial and ethnic lines...........................yeah, you all understand now.

White House economists had thought that taking away the tax advantage of the 529 plan for better-off families was a simple matter of tax fairness. Instead, it proved to be politically toxic, highlighting the difficulty for politicians focusing their efforts on the shriveling middle class and trying to overhaul the tax code. The idea was to end one tax break tilted toward the wealthy and plow that billion-dollar savings over 10 years into a far larger expansion of another tuition tax credit aimed more squarely at the middle class.

There's that word again. "Fairness".

When you read it, see it, or hear it, you know what it really means.

Interesting that the threshold is $150,000 and then $200,000 annual income in the article. I guess households earning that much money are the new 1%?

If the threshold was "70% of 529's are held by families making over $500,000 a year" I'd listen. But it just goes to show you that I've been right for years.

Thanks for responding dan d 124. Have not heard from you in a while.

Good. The idea was ludicrous.

But it just goes to show you that #ObamaElement sees $150,000 households as rich.

They prop up "1%" to fool people. It's upper-middle class families that are the real threshold of wealth.

Trust me. I understand #ObamaElement better than anyone.

one thing I like about you, you understand the widespread corruption in the NYPD. They are a corrupt bunch.

But you seem to ignore what fuel the Democrat Party.
