Its not like you have to file 631 if you are a 631 number already....only new numbers in the new area code. No different than dialing someone in Nassau or people with 516 cell phones |

Its not like you have to file 631 if you are a 631 number alreadyI assume you mean dial. When 917 got added as an overlay to 212, people at 212 phones had to start dialing 1-212-xxx-xxxx. So I think you will have to start dialing 1-631-xxx-xxxx from a 631 phone. |

In 1979, my parents stayed at the only motel in White Pass, WA, which was served by the White Pass Telephone Company. I needed to call them. The motel's telephone number, in its entirety, was "White Pass #1." |
