Wilson's Grand Jury Testimony: An Implausible Fairy Tale

Posted by Nilet on Wed Nov 26 08:35:54 2014

fiogf49gjkf0d
The grand jury testimony was released. There's a good summary here.

Wilson's testimony is a massive pile of bullshit that proves beyond any doubt that he should have been indicted, and the only reason he wasn't was because the grand jury believed that murdering black people isn't a crime and/or that cops are above the law and should be allowed to murder with impunity.

And if you actually believe Wilson's story, then I have a bridge you might be interested in.

Even if it was, so long as he keeps to that story while the other witnesses have conflicting ones, his being the officer is that people will trust most. Had the witnesses all be consistent with their testimony and backed up the ballistic evidence it would've been another story altogether.

Yet nothing in the opinion piece Nilet cites is based on the "street version." So the most charitable interpretation of your post is that you criticized Nilet just because of his past posts and didn't bother to read what he actually cited.

Kid went for the toy gun, Kid got shot. Do you really think that ANY policeman WANTS to shoot a kid? They don't. This will affect the shooter for a long time.

You see, unlike you, I'll answer you directly without "tapdancing" around your question. The cartoon signifies a certain segment of society, i.e.. "white" people who say that it's not race related every time a black is killed by the police, whether legit (Like MB case and the kids) or under fishy circumstances or out and out wrong (Like the guy in the Pink Houses) yet these same white people bitch and moan when a black is promoted instead of them, and claim it's because they're black and not possibly because the black is more qualified and smarter than the white who got passed over.

Now, what do I win?

The cartoon is STILL not relivant to a 911 police radio run of a person with a gun who was standing on the sidewalk POINTING it at people though....

Now, what do I win?

Nothing, because you didn't understand the cartoon.

It's pointing out the fact that innocent and unarmed black people are killed by the police regularly, in a manner beyond disproportionately, while people like you insist it must have been for any reason other than because they were black. (You know, like when you said the police were justified in shooting Brown and Rice because of the guns they didn't actually have.)

A pellet gun is not a toy gun. BUT, just to play Devil's Advocate, even if it was a toy gun, especially with the orange tip removed, it's STILL OK for the police to shoot if their orders are not obeyed and he's reaching for it.
