I think the explanation for his being in the stairwell was getting his hair braided...at 11p. sure. |

I see you know better than CBS news, which says he and his girlfriend waited a long time for an elevator, then gave up and took the stairs. |

Taking stairs is not so out of the ordinary at all. The police themselves admitted it was accidental so I'm sure if NYPD had an out to not pin the blame on one their officers they would have took it. |

The police officers say it was an accident. The police brass says it was an accident and the deceased was just using the stairs because the elevator was slow. The usual radicals say it was negligence due to excessive fear on the part of the police officer. You say it was due to malfeasance on the part of the deceased. Whom to believe? I think this is an easy one. |

Actually, thinking about it, if the scenario is as described by Bratton it's certainly pretty careless of the officer. I have on occasion held a (non-lethal but still nasty) weapon in one hand and another object in my other hand, and needed a hand for a third task. I would never have used the hand holding the weapon to do the third task because I would have been concerned about shooting myself. I would stash the second object in some way to give myself a free hand. |

This is why abortion stats in recent years in NYC are actually a good thing.Do we know if this lowlife has any offspring? If so, they are a threat to society. If not for abortion, there would be more element like this guy. As for the cop, honestly, I find most cops to be confrontational bullies. |

The deceased was in the stairwell, legitimately and innocently, and the officer's revolver happened to discharge into him purely by accident. The person who might agree with you is Al Sharpton. |

I don't think this will interest sharpton too much. the officer isn't white. nothing to be gained. |
