Posted by JayZeeBMT on Tue Oct 21 18:12:34 2014 The Cowboys have cut Michael Sam, the first openly gay athlete in the NFL, from their practice squad.I believe (and so do several active and retired NFL players) that Sam was set up to fail. Unlike the NBA (where Jason Collins is doing just fine with the Nets), the NFL isn't quite ready for a gay player. THIW. |

The Brooklyn Nets took a different course with Jason Collins. They availed themselves of all the good PR they could get, and it paid off. The Cowboys could have done likewise. |
