Robert Moses State Park is a public beach adjacent to the lighthouse. It's accessed by the Robert Moses Causeway over Great South Bay. East of that beach is the Fire Island National Sea Shore and then the local Fire Island Beaches east of that. Kismet, Cherry Grove, and a few others. |

As what"his beach" is, it's not on Fire Island. The town of Islip has a town park beach . THAT is "his beach". Robert Moses is a state park, that's OUR beach equally as well. Sailor's Haven is a much nicer Fire Island beach but you can only get there by ferry. Attracts less white trash. |
