What do you mean "instead?"

To me, it's just an ordinary week. I'm obviously familiar with the idea of special meals to celebrate a holiday, but how exactly does one have a special meal "instead" of celebrating it?

Several of us have similar questions about your efforts to "celebrate" Pesach and Yom Kippur.

I already answered both. Do you need a quick recap?

Yom Kippur is a holiday about atoning for sins. "Sin" is something religion made up to trap people with guilt. As such, I celebrate my freedom from religion (and thus from the trap of "sin") by demonstrating that it has no hold on me.

Pesach is about celebrating escape from slavery. That the specific slavery in question didn't happen is sort of incidental here— freedom is something to celebrate regardless. However, the notion of celebrating freedom by constraining yourself as a slave is absurd— slaves trying to escape couldn't afford to wait for fully-baked bread, so I will celebrate my freedom by abstaining from fully-baked bread? You should celebrate your freedom by eating as much of anything as you want because you can.

Why would you give up baked goods to celebrate the fact that you can now have baked goods?

Note that "a magic man says so" is not a valid reason. Nor is "an old book says so." Nor is "it's what we've always done." If you want to do it for those reasons, more power to you— but since you're trying to force your opinion on me, you'll need something better.

The former takes actual talent, as useless as that talent may be in the real world. The latter just takes a fifth-grade reading level and an overdose of narcissism.
