Despite all the hoopla, Glasgee isn't the rest of Scotland. What REALLY changed the vote was when Gordon Brown showed them the BP paperwork that showed that the oil offshore has just about all been sucked out and the money would only last a few more years. Then what?Now the pressure's on the Tories to give some decentrals to Northern Ireland, Wales, the Midlands and everything outside of London. So despite the vote, mission accomplished. I'm waiting for the Queen to comment from Balmoral. She's expected to do so. But despite the outcome, Salmond won this one big. Now ... as to Ukraine, they've got a few of their own irons in the fire. They wanted us to stay out of it entirely so as to not give Putin more cause, they worked with us and others to put the screws to Putin in a different way. Stop thinking 17th century, brah. You don't need cannons anymore to wage war. Now it's done with money transfers. |
