Where Is The British Prime Minister?

Posted by Train Dude on Wed Aug 20 22:59:30 2014

British Prime Minister David Cameron, upon hearing that the Jihadist who beheaded American Journalist, James Foley, was likely British, cut his vacation short and returned to work. President zerobama, taking his cue from David Cameron, delayed his golf game by 3 1/2 minutes to tell the Foley family how tragic their son's death was and how he's taking the incident very seriously.

Still don't get the concept of image? Was this not significant enough for the president to postpone pulling his puttz?

Image of what? A world leader having to go back to his brick and stone office because a journalist got beheaded? That's all well and good for the British but I prefer my President act unfazed toward the bad guys while his drones kill them.

your pal,
Fred

Sure just like you didn't criticize Bush for not running out in a panic when the WTC was attacked.

Bush hid or was put into hiding per procedure. That's not really the same thing.

He went to another command post since Washington was under attack unless you believe Rosie O'Donnell and Charlie Sheen.

That's nice but has nothing to do with Obama not rushing back to the WH because a journalist was killed. What did the Prime Minister do when he got back to his office? Type some memos?

Fred

Beats the shit out of me but at least it looked presidential. OTOH our president tells these parents how tragic and how serious etc but then runs off to play golf. Not very impressive.

Slightly different but on topic: There were many nights and weekends when I could have handled a snow storm or derailment or other "emergency" from home by phone or internet BUT my boss always felt better knowing that I was there to deal with the issue first hand.

I don't consider Fred a waste of time. We do not agree on much but he makes usually reasonable arguments instead of posting idiotic cartoons and videos.
