Israel is held to an impossible standard

In 1980, an Israeli diplomat met with Ronald Reagan as he was running for president. Reagan was furious over the hostages being held in the U.S. Embassy in Iran and told the diplomat he could not understand why Washington didn’t do what Israel would have done: land troops on the embassy roof and take the Americans out. The dismayed diplomat nodded disingenuously. Yes, that’s exactly what Israel would do.

Reagan’s wholly unrealistic idea of Israeli capabilities still haunts the Jewish state. It helps account for why the bombings of schools, hospitals and homes in Gaza are almost instantaneously denounced as war crimes — a purposeful atrocity and not, as sometimes happens in war, a mistake. Israel, some feel, is too good to be so bad.

Well, when the liberal media gets all its "news" from Hamas, that's to be expected.

I read somewhere that a photojournalist (who of course spoke on condition of anonymity) admitted that journalists obeyed Hamas orders on what photos to take and what not to take because they were afraid of being blacklisted by Hamas if they took the "wrong" photos and allowed them to be published. The photojournalist also admitted that Gaza is "where the story is" and for him to keep his job, he needed to be able to get back into Gaza.

In other words, these clowns are sacrificing accurate reporting for the sake of their own asses. Nothing new here - we all know media types are scum.

If they were honest, they would be talking about a "Hamas media blackout" instead of parroting the Hamas propaganda. But they do what they do, instead.
