TSA willing to pay $15,000 for best ideas to help shorten airport lines

I could offer some excellent ideas based on what I've observed about security in airports in Europe and Israel, but something tells me the TSA isn't going to want to go for those if they haven't already.

The first suggestion is instead of making the passengers have to take the plastic bins off a huge stack from a cart, which is difficult and slow, they should install inclined ramps parallel to the xray machine conveyor belts that would not only make it easier for passengers to grab a bin, it would eliminate the need to have someone wheel the bins from end to end every so often. But I suppose inclined planes are a threat to aviation security because I can't think of any other reason this hasn't been done yet.

Does anyone else want to offer their ideas?

How about cutting down the "security" theatre to:

1. Put metal items in bins.

2. Walk through metal detector.

3. If metal detector goes off, use metal detecting wand.

Doing this might prevent the terrorist attack that I (OK, Bruce Schneier) (OK, one of Bruce Schneier's readers) invented, but it'll cut the lines AND cut all the pointless bullshit so that I can finally fly again.

All terrorists would need then are fiberglass knives to stage a repeat of 9-11

How would they get through the locked and reinforced cockpit door with fiberglass knives? And what makes you think the current x-ray machines detect fiberglass knives in your carry-on baggage?

No, since 9/11 they've reinforced cockpit doors— the only actual security improvement to arise from that exercise in incompetence.

Not that they couldn't board a plane with fiberglass knives now. In fact, they could even use metal knives if they wanted— the metal detectors are gone. They've been replaced by "scanners" which give TSA agents fapping material but can't actually detect a knife whose owner has made a trivial effort to conceal it.
