3 Dead In Pair Of Kansas Jewish Center Shootings
Posted by JayZeeBMT on Sun Apr 13 18:12:28 2014 fiogf49gjkf0d As Passover begins, the Kansas City-area Jewish community is grieving the deaths of three shooting victims, in a pair of attacks on Jewish community centers there, police said. The incidents occurred earlier today at two separate locations, and detectives have one suspect in custody. this alleged gunman is reported to have said 'Heil Hitler!' as he opened fire, according to witnesses. The two shooting scenes are several blocks apart, and police were still canvassing the area this afternoon in search of further clues. A fourth victim survived and was in critical condition at a local hospital. The names of those killed have not yet been released, pending family notification. The FBI was also at the two crime scenes, which are likely to be treated as a single hate crime. A press conference was set for later this evening.

But if he knew, then he should have familiarized himself with the meaning of the Haggadah passage "V'hi She'amda". In that passage, we recount that in every generation since Abraham, someone arises to try and wipe out the Jewish people, and that God always saves the Jews from their hands. Maybe not all of the Jews. But the Jews continue while the destroyers are themselves destroyed.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he was also aware of the significance of today's date, which, to my way of thinking, would be another element in a hate crime indictment against him. Those who commit such atrocities often know quite a bit about those they attack.

Meanwhile, ABC reports that Cross received his last name from the FBI, which also gave him a new home and Social Security number when he left prison in 1990. He had sent this declaration to thousands of white supremacists and politicians, ABC notes. On the run, he was eventually caught and agreed to a plea deal that saw him cooperate with the FBI.
