I dunno, it makes some interesting points about grains and seeds. It ties into how carbs (albeit processed) can be damaging. Personally, I'll just stick with trying to keep a balanced diet, everything in moderation. |

Roman Catholic is what you think of when you hear the "Catholic" church....but "catholic" is actually a generic term with a small c.When Lutherans,Episcopalians, Methodists.... act say the Apistle's Creed in service....the say "I believe in the holy catholic church...." just like those in the Roman Catholic church when the say the Nicene Creed.....but it doesn't mean the Roman Catholic church but instead the generic word catholic with a small C. |

You have to remember that the Emperor Constantine allowed Christianity to to become legal in the Roman empire. In addition to the First Council of Nicea, he presided over many bishops' minor councils when they were assembling the New Testament. To appease the Romans and to make Christianity easier to accept, the role of the Romans in Holy Week was probably whitewashed. Notice that on Palm Sunday, when Jesus entered Jerusalem, there was no Roman reaction in the scriptures? ? A king for the Jews to challenge Rome? You mean to tell me that Pilate never took notice of what happened on Palm Sunday? yes, jesus had jewish enemies, who feared for their loss of power. But, don't blame a whole religion/race for this! |
