Perhaps the high unemployment rate for that same age group has something to do with it now that they are graduating and facing that bleak job market.

They'll never blame him for anything job related. He's a cult of personality, and their support is based entirely in emotion. Showing him as a 2-faced hypocrite who crushed dissent (i.e. Nixon) is what is undermining the support.

Perhaps! But he's not crushed dissent yet. There's still plenty going around. His use of social media and behavioral scientists to manipulate the vote in 2012 was brilliant, none the less.

Fiscal policy is done by Congress, not the President.

-House Is Republican.

-Out of control filibusters have the Senate controlled by Republicans.

-SS Tax went up by 2 percentage points, which limits consumer spending, 70% of the economy. Republicans were fine with it.

-Sequester limits consumer spending, 70% of the economy. Republicans are fine with it.

- High unemployment rate of college grads is due to all of the above plus outsourcing of entry level jobs to India and China, which Republicans tax policies encourage, and Republicans are fine with it.

Obamacare allows adults to stay on their parent's health insurance until 26. Republicans want it gone.

Conclusion: Republicans are their own worst enemy.

Sequester cuts only limited increases in spending and were targetted by the president to be painful. As for the rest, you are parroting our upstate know-it-not. What happened to all the shovel ready jobs that were not quite shovel ready? The left should at least be consistent with their rhetoric. When the president said that he was going to cut unemployment, I didn't hear you say

"Fiscal policy is done by Congress, not the President.

( Sequester cuts only limited increases in spending )

Is that so ? Tell that to all the private sector contractors who have a furlough day every week or two.

Stimulus was far too small to cut unemployment rate. 38th of it went to useless tax rebate.

fiogf49gjkf0d
( Sequester cuts only limited increases in spending )

That is somewhat accurate.

The reason the sequester was felt deeper than it should have was because it got started halfway through the fiscal year.

What the sequester does is to have an actual cut the first year, then leave those cuts in place other than very small increases due to population growth and inflation.

It's like somebody having a $100 cable bill and cutting it to a cheaper plan at $80 and leaving it there for the next 10 years (other than inflation increases).

Over ten years, that family would realize $2400 in inflation-adjusted savings over what their bill would have otherwise been.

Of course, if everybody did that, in the first year, cable companies would have to lay people off because of a 20% drop in gross revenue.

Simple....bush left a smoldering crater. President Obama came into office with the task to fix it. The existing republicans will not allow that. The President has the correct policies but can't implement them without cooperation from Congress. Then we have Congress, specifically the House, passing stupid laws that go nowhere but take time and resources away from the job that needs to be done, such as 37 votes to repeal ACA/Obamacare, despite everyone involved knowing it would go nowhere.

President Obama is not a fail. Those around him, specifically the republicans, seek to destroy the country. Their obstructionism is proof. They don't care about Americans, just what they can steal from them.

Not so fast. They'll do OK in 2014 because every little thing that goes wrong will benefit them and Obama is pissing off liberals. They could even carry the Senate. But 2016 isn't likely to be very good for them.

Ike never had to reverse an economic collapse and avert a Depression.
Ike never had to destroy al-Qaeda.
Ike never devised and signed a universal health care law.
Ike could count on 91% marginal tax rates and strong unions to boost tax revenue, good jobs and consumer demand.
Ike didn't have racist invective hurled at him.
Ike didn't have the Democratic Party trying to sabotage his work.

Ike was good but my President, Barack Obama, has far exceeded him under the most trying and dramatic of circumstances.

Now that there is a minority in the house the poor democrats can't do the same thing! This from a group under Nancy Pelosi who pulled all sorts of tricks to get Health Care Reform passed!

Which brings an amusing point to mind. Truman was the last President to attempt universal healthcare (Nixon only sought to modify existing insurance, giving us all the HMO). In those times, most doctors were republicans. Not so anymore. So why are the republicans so hyperbolic about ACA/Obamacare?
