Has a definitive link between the actual parade and the incidents AFTER the parade been established? In other words:Can you say conclusively that the people involved in the incidents after the parade were at the parade? Can you say conclusively that the violence was caused by the parade? People get into fights every day of the year, in all kinds of locations. Isn't it possible that these people got into violence that, though it on the day of the parade, had nothing to do with the parade? That's why my OP says the parade itself took place, and ended, without any incidents of violence. Here, you and other posters are suggesting post hoc, ergo propter hoc. |
