OK, truce ... now that you're a little more reasonable, the ONLY reason why I posted such a retort in the first place is because I've been keeping up with this issue for MANY years. And although I put it in a simple (what you may decide to be "partisan") is that it's the TRUTH.

ONLY republicans go after this stuff, and the link in that article to what's going on in Ohio is only one of 50 states where the same games are played. There was a trial over in Rensselaer this year where the democrats (Rensselaer is SOLIDLY republican) were arrested with claims of trying to do the same thing. Guess what the outcome of the trial was?

Yes, I cut to the chase. Yes, I try to make every situation "funny" ... that's my style. Think of me as the "Stewart/Colbert" thing here. I spent over 25 years as a journalist covering politics, even worked for the state of New York building and then running NY's own "C-SPAN" channel called "NY-SCAN" ... I got all fed up with politics a *LONG* time ago. During my years in journalism, I was never allowed to have an opinion and was NEVER allowed to choose sides.

Now that I'm out of it, I have DECADES of bile ... I'm taking the cure here because I was never allowed to do it when I was working in the business. Now if somehow you can convince the righties to stop posting shit, I'll be only too happy to get back to cat jokes and having fun - the original purpose of this board.

But if I have to sit and wade through shit, then I'm GOING to fling some too, call it "fair and balanced." I'm all for analytics and bouncing around opinions. But when I have to come here and read things like "selcock" and "lol" to responses, PLEASE don't expect me to be any more serious about any of this than the others here.

Politico.com, New York Times 538 pages and a raft of other places have people actually DISCUSSING issues. All any of us get here is the same old copypasta and I'll give it exactly the respect it deserves. That's what my thing is all about here.

Sorry it bothers you, but both bingbong and I believe in "proportional response" ... I'd MAKE the effort like I once used to here to be more like a moderator and journalist ... but there's absolutely zero inspiration to bother here with the responses from the others. Hope you understand. If not, no problem. But I ain't changing until others do. Moo. :)
