Yeah, fine, but the GOP isn't saying get a free ID. They are charging and/or making it had to get IDs by issuing them only in limited offices, etc.And it's a myth that almost everybody has ID. Lots of urban folks have no drivers license. Also many students. And many states do not allow student ID to count! Further, to get a non-drivers ID you need a birth cert., which many older folks have lost and can't easily get. So it's a mess all around, with no reason for it in the first place. |
