It's a reality for millions of people and has likely been that way from the beginning of time.It's just NOW that many people are FINALLY opening up their hearts and realizing that "oh my god, those guys are people too, and they aren't really much different from myself". Gay people love and hurt just like Straight people do. The only difference is that the love of one is criticized and criminalized while the other is lauded and celebrated! There are gay people that don't have sex, "performing sodomy", but they are called perverts because they are attracted to and fall in love with people that are the same gender. Gay doesn't not simply equal lust...especially when there are a number of so-called straight people that "experiment" and "take advantage" of gay men and woman to satisfy their "curiosity" all while campaigning against gay rights. Finally, many if not most of those gay people that have been fighting so hard for equal rights have been in long term, loving, monogamous, committed relationships for many years. I think that means that being gay is a little more of whether or not someone feels like playing with a penis or breasts today... |
