From today's Wall Street Journal article:

There is no indication that Adelson is a target in the money-laundering probe, the Journal report said. The U.S. Attorney for Los Angeles, Andre Birotte Jr., declined to comment to the Journal.

Distorting the facts to suit your purposes is one thing. Outright lies is something else.
