So what's yer pernt?Romney's website lists the following "Communities" his campaign has started: Juntos con Romney (Hispanic - and not even in English, fer Chris'-sake) Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Romney Catholics For Romney Jewish Americans for Romney (What, he can't say "Jews"?) Polish Americans for Romney Women for Mitt (notice the patronizing use of "Mitt" instead of "Romney" for the women's group) Young Americans for Romney FWIW, every presidential candidate in recent decades has had ethnic and other interest-group sub-campaigns. Obama is hardly the first to have an African-American group. |
