Just went to the transcript and what terror-boy said was:"Now, we don't know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it's Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado." So whether he was wrong or not, he properly framed his statement in uncertainty. To me, he was certainly not sure whether he should have reported that at all and was quite reluctant based on the words and how he delivered them. From the looks of it, blame properly belongs on the PRODUCER of the show who likely pressured him to go with it. Compare to the absolute certainty of reporters on certain other news channels when they know they're full of shit but state their lines with confidence. |
