For the record, I am involved in scouting, and I don't support this policy. I'd never report a person for it, nor would I object to anyone in my pack/troop being 'out'. Knowing some of the other leaders, I also don't believe they would ask someone to leave for these reasons.Unfortunately, this is a NATIONAL policy. If the the council or national makes the request, we can argue, but we won't win. I find it sad that we can have gay marines, but not gay scouts. |
