Non-Hispanic white is a subset of white. When responding to the census only about half of the Hispanics in LA identify as white and most of the rest as other.In most demographic statistics "white" is usually non-Hispanic white, but sometimes not. And people will use that to their advantage when they can. Both ways. You really do have to know which they mean, if you care. |
