The people forced to "flooding ER's for free services" first of all do NOT get free services, all they do is stabilize their condition (which is what is legally required) and send them home.They don't even set broken bones, aircasts merely stabilize a break and relieve pain until properly set.Once ACA is going in 2014, all those people will be able to get medical care in a doctor's office, which means most won't need to head to the ER....chronic conditions will be mitigated through ongoing treatment...read the linked article to find out why people with Type 2 diabetes will get treatment OUTSIDE of emergencies, and that such treatment PREVENTS ER visits to begin with. |
