You're assuming that there used to be a big population of gays getting married and having children.There never was a stigma against being a "confirmed bachelor" as long as you didn't get caught soliciting sexual services. Just like there have been thousands of priests whose emotional and mental dispositions may have been gay but who remained celibate. |
