We are merely assisting them to integrate, which is something they need to do when they get here. If they don't utilize programs like these they tend to lose not only their academic skills, but remain ghettoized longer. Isolated communities unable to communicate with those around them leads to all sorts of problems.Not to mention they serve to perpetuate racism and xenophobia among the general non-immigrant population. |
