I've actually repaired their "engram meters" years ago. Basically, they hook up a common "ohmmeter" and set it for the "Rx1Meg" scale. The meter is then adjusted so that the needle is in the center after you've been handed a pair of metal cans or sticks connected to it. No shock, it only uses a 1.5 volt battery in it.As your galvanic skin resistance changes as they ask you a bunch of questions, they note where the needle is. If it's below center, then you're being negative, if it's above center then you're being positive and it's absolutely a pile of horseshit. Once the floor show is over, they want to start emptying your wallet for "lessons" so that you can get a piece of paper that promounces you a "clear" (which means your bank account has been cleared) ... All hocus pocus that P T Barnum would be proud of. If you really want to impress them, yell out "save me Xenu" before you finish your "audit" and you'll become a bishop just like Tom Cruise. :) |
