Couples are having fewer kids and also having kids later.Middle class whites are certainly doing this. Minorities, mainly Hispanics, and rich whites(Upper East Side) are making babies. We're seeing cities in the US flip to the European model where cities are becoming increasingly higher income and suburbs have more low income areas than before. Yup. Just look at the Brentwood thread. Or the almost daily shootings and stabbings in and around Uniondale and Hempstead. And so many women look down on motherhood. Especially middle class white females who think life should be like Friends or Sex and the City. |
