Europeans will migrate within the EU to find workYes. An out-of-work Greek person will move to Germany or the Netherlands or France which have much better economies than the US, are close to home and have no immigration requirements (other than to be able to support oneself) for EU citizens just like an out-of-work Alabamian will move to Illinois or NY for the similar reason. Since the LBJ 1965 immigration law we have preferred people from 3rd world sh*tholes over Europeans from countries with similar values to ours. America's employers wanted an end to the pre-1965 quotas because immigration from Europe had dried up, wages were rising and unionism was strong. |
