OK, so why has no prosecutor taken the ATF agent allegations seriously and opened a criminal investigation? Perhaps they're not very credible? Perhaps they're covering up their own failings?As for the Mexican government, how would they know the motivation for the program? Have any of them testified that they were told by someone who would be in a position to know? If a crime was committed here, it's not Darrell Issa's job to find out. It's a prosecutor's job. Recall that Nixon didn't fall because he stonewalled Congress, he fell because he stonewalled a duly authorized criminal investigation. |
