I don't believe that religious leaders should be in government all.

John Danforth is and was a highly respected Senator and diplomat. He's also an ordained Episcopal priest. Did you have a problem with Danforth being in government?

The Rev. Robert Drinan represented Massachusetts in the House for 10 years. He became the first member of Congress to call for the impeachment of Richard Nixon. Decades later, he testified against the impeachment of President Bill Clinton. Did you have a problem with Drinan being in government?

William Gray was an influential member of the House in the 1980s, serving as the Majority Whip until his resignation to serve as President of the United Negro College Fund. As an African-American, he was the fourth highest ranking member of the House at the time of his resignation and a minister in Philadelphia. Did you have a problem with Gray being in government?

Ron Lewis was a Republican member of the House from 1994–2009, representing the 2nd Congressional District of Kentucky. He also was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister. Did you have a problem with Lewis being in government?

Emanuel Cleaver II is a United Methodist pastor and the U.S. Representative for Missouri's 5th congressional district, serving since 2005. He is a member of the Democratic Party, and in January 2010 became chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. Do you have a problem with Cleaver being in government?

Rev. Dr. Robert William Edgar served as a Democratic member of the House from 1975 to 1987, representing the 7th district of Pennsylvania. He was ordained a minister after graduating with a master of divinity degree. Did you have a problem with Edgar being in government?

You have a "problem" with Mitt Romney being in government because he represents everything you oppose, right or wrong. Why should it matter that he's a religious leader?
