But that's just it, there aren't any universal values.* Otherwise we wouldn't have disagreements over what is moral. The values you insist are universal are only universal to the subset of people who agree with you. While I'd like accept many of them as being moral, that doesn't make them any more "special". They aren't any more the "proper" morals because they're yours.*note that I'd actually be happy to be proven wrong and to see an example of a moral principle that we can show to be universal. |
