There is that little matter of folks at Bain contributing $36,000 for Booker's first campaign.According to OpenSecrets.org, Bain employees have given Obama $4,750 toward his 2004 campaign, $136,430 toward his 2008 campaign, and $50,000 so far in 2012. Bain has given $294,800 to the Democratic Policy Committee in 2012 and $214,500 to the DNC in 2008. Bain is a "top contributor" to 17 members of the House and Senate, but Scott Brown is the only Republican among them. Steve Pagliuca, who lost the Democratic primary for Ted Kennedy's Senate seat to Martha Coakley, is a Managing Director of Bain Capital. |
