Angela Corey has won a very recent case with even longer odds, however. Last week, she won a case in a case where everyone presumed SYG would have applied...but Corey successfully defeated an invocation attempt.The person on trial was Marissa Alexander, who was a victim of domestic violence and shot her husband. The trial was a bench trial. That is why Corey was brought in - to deconstruct an SYG defense. |
