What's stupid is that most of Julia's government benefits come in the form of education, which has long since been socialized.Then there is the age 26 insurance mandate. It's an unfunded mandate; insurance companies are free to raise their rates to compensate. Interestingly, had this mandate been in place between 2005 and 2008, I would have never had to have Medicaid and thus would never have used "socialized medicine." It appears that Julia also never benefitted from actual socialized medicine. |
