I don't think so -- I'm of the school that believes government rarely makes a situation better. Given the politics in place, a government jobs programs in 2009 would have funneled even more people into solar panel installation, website design (Hi Julia!) and assorted other "green technology jobs" that for the most part would be dead ends for the people involved. |
