Your evidence of that would be what? Do you think Lehman Brothers or AIG actually realized how much risk they were exposing themselves to?

PS. I despise the idea of bailouts. I just don't see how they can be avoided if massive banks are allowed to take huge risks. There will always be some bank who doesn't realize they are taking the risk, or whose managers don't care.
