Not quite fiction: enough facts to stir, though I love the the sentence that describes the Daily Mail as “hardly a right-wing publication”! Not much to the left of Attila the Hun, that is.And, it is true that at the time, there were elements in Kenya that were trying to overthrow British Colonial Rule. Have we read about that happening before somewhere locally maybe? Fortunately, there’s one paragraph that sums up the only evident truths: However, to what degree Obama, Sr, was involved in the uprising and killings is not known nor do the British or American documents say more than he embraced Kenya’s independence from the British Empire and he was an avowed socialist. |
