The issue of contradictions in the Hebrew Bible has been taken up by commentators through the centuries. The first thing you need to understand is that the Torah has been translated and retranslated into different languages over the centuries, by different groups who have had their own political and religious agendas. The wording og the King James version, while perhaps the most authoritative version of the Hebrew Bible in the Christian world, carries no weight to Jewish scholars. I can't say this definitively, but I will bet you dollars to donuts that there are fewer contradictions in the Hebrew Bible in its original Hebrew than in the KJV translation.
