On the other hand, Democrats would be fools if they tried to make anything out of this. Obama has plenty of youthful bad judgment to apologize for too.Well written. The term "youthful bad judgment" is fair even as some will seek to define those words in relative terms; that is, prank v. bullying or hurting oneself (victimless) v. hurting another (victim). Whatever. I just cannot wrap my mind 'round the concept that this is anything other than making political hay per say. It was a HIGH SCHOOL ADOLESCENT. That does not in any way excuse the abhorrent behavior, not in the least, but come on already. We are talking about freaking high school. If that is a measure of his character and his ability to serve, as was pointed out in Nathan's post, well then, I am woefully out of touch. |
