What mystifies us is that there was NO real effort, publically, to get him to quit.Why would that mystify you? The pressure was obviously private. And it wasn't on him to quit. It was on Romney to hide him from all public exposure. That in turn made him quit. I doubt he quit out of gay solidarity. If he's competent, he would have quit out of being shown that he wouldn't be allowed reasonable flexibility in how he could do his job. |
