Ok, but unless the owner builds the new arena from his own pockets, I still doubt Nassau is going to approve any plans that requires a few hundred million dollars from taxpayers to fund it. This is the same Nassau that flipped off the MTA over 10s of millions they owed to the MTA to run LIB, which lead to NICE.So I have my doubts about the Islanders coming to terms to get that new stadium in Nassau. So let's say hypothetically IF the Islanders were to leave Nassau would you rather* they: A) move to Brooklyn (though inconvenient, is a train ride away or even a drive thru a very congested Flatbush Av). B) move outside NY State and possibly to Canada. |
