Mississauga and Hamilton - Toronto Maple Leafs would object, and Copps Coliseum in Hamilton (which will be vacant after next season unless a junior hockey team, probably the Erie Otters, whose lease is up, moves in) is not exactly up to NHL standards.

Houston - more likely a possibility for the Coyotes if their ownership situation cannot be settled.

Seattle - not without a new arena; the junior hockey team that shared the arena with the Sonics left the then-KeyArena the same year the Sonics left because the sightlines were horrible.

Quebec City is most likely the destination for the Islanders if not Brooklyn. An arena must seat at least 15,000 for ice hockey (the current smallest arena in the NHL is 15,004 seats in Winnipeg).
