The other thing they say is that she is rich and can't understand what it's like to make ends meet. Now, yes. 35-40 years ago? No. The Romneys were not always this rich. When they were first married they lived on the small returns of a stock dividend while Mitt worked his way up the Bain Capital corporate ladder. Not exactly poor, but not affluent in any way. |
